Machine Learning : e-novACT “on tracks” with the SNCF
E-novACT is carrying out its third measurement campaign in Reims to test its IoT solution for securing trackside personnel based on Machine Learning algorithms.
This solution is based on the measurement of rail vibrations by means of a system placed at the edge of the track. Adapted signal processing (inspired by the state of the art) provides relevant indicators (features) at the input of machine learning algorithms. The recording of numerous passages of trains on various sites makes it possible to educate an artificial intelligence which then predicts the arrival of the trains.
